You had better put a watertight tape on the higher end end cover it with C-shape alu or policarbon profile. On the lower end put a water vapour permeable tape and put other profile on it, so the water can spill out.
For good results, put a screw every 1 foot on the lenght and at least one bracing every 2-3 feet and screw to it every 1&half feet
