Here's my Rand evacuated tube solar cooker. The reflector is made from a SS milk jug, I welded up the mount. It cooked potatoes and onions well. I made a SS tray to slide into it. I have seen temps a little hotter than pictured. Doug

Neat! A few questions for you:
How fragile is it? (I'm thinking back to my childhood and broken thermos bottles when they were made from glass)
How easy is the inside of the evacuated tube to clean? (would you cook greasy foods that spatter?)

The tube is pretty fragile because it's thin, but it is Pyrex. The opening is large enuf to get my extra large hand into. I put too much butter in the potatoes and onions, it ran out of the tray into the tube. I poured off excess and allowed it to cool, then it cleaned up nicely. Here's the link-

What's the ambient temperature? Tried it in cold weather? Say 30 to 40 degrees outside. Much less expensive than I would have guessed.

No, I have not tried it in cold weather yet. The vacuum insulation is so good that the outside remains cool, so I don't think cold weather will affect it much, beyond sun angle and duration.
