I power my small Aretha and the pumps that go with it with small pv panels, and I've thought of putting the panels inside the collector but haven't done it yet. A few thoughts:
1. Air collectors generally run cooler than PV panels, so the air circulation should cool the PV and increase the output. BUT
2. The usual twinwall covering stops about 20% of the sun's energy, reducing the power available to the PV panel accordingly. A larger PV panel might be required.
3. Dispensing with the glazing while improving the PV performance, would increase heat loss.
4. At low angles of incidence there may not be enough power to operate the collector's fan.
Still it would be an interesting project and I think it could work...
