Each morning I  use the Forums option NEW POSTS and it list all the new posts since I was logged on last time. But if I lose my connection before reading the new posts and do another NEW POSTS search all the unread new posts are gone. Any ideas to solve this problem?

Maybe Scott could add us a canned "last 24 hrs" search?  I've had this same problem and tried to solve it using the regular Search, but that wants some value in the search for field - you can't search for everything within a date range - at least if you can, I have not found it...

Sometimes the back button on my browser will work to get back to the original version of the page.

Thanks. The back button works if you haven't lost your connection. I've tried the search options to accomplish what the New Post option does without a subject searching fails to find latest new posts. I hope someone can fix this and improve it by giving the option to pick a beginning date.

Bumping this old thread to post details of a change in the forums which should help with this situation:

"New Posts" is now "Latest Topics"

The New Posts section lists the topics which have been updated since the user's last visit to the forum. In cases when a user briefly visits the forum and still has many unread topics, the New Posts section will show that there are no updated topics since the user's last visit. While that's true, it means that now the user has to inconveniently browse through each forum separately to view the latest unread topics in each forum. Also, some users confuse the New Posts link as the link for creating a new post.

To address these issues, the New Posts section has now been changed to Latest Topics. The Latest Topics section lists the most recently updated topics from all of the forums regardless of when the user last visited the forum

I go to the main "Forums" page and look for the yellow stars that mark forums with new posts since my last visit.  Recently the Members Projects star stopped turning yellow even though there were new posts.  I clicked "Mark Forums Read" to see if that will help reset things (that option is near the bottom of the main Forums page.

Kevin I've noticed the same thing lately with the stars. Not sure if anything can be done about it but you could contact Scott.
