Another point in favor of 120v. If the batteries go dead or you just decide to change, it's easy to switch the system back to the grid, just unplug from the inverter and plug into the wall.

With 12v, it's not as simple.

Solar is like the wind. It may be free, but putting it to work isn't!

Could be.

I think we can discount that theory. The Annual Average Temperature in Tampa, Fl is 73.35°F .... unless the hold is getting up past 122F.
