If you are gaining 30˚ from your solar heater on a sunny day, how much does the HRV itself warm the incoming air? I'd imagine the extra 30˚ from the solar heater must make a huge difference compared to the HRV only intake air, which only brings in frigid outside air. Very slick setup you have!

I just looked at one of the files from my data logger and picked a nice sunny day. Air coming from outside before going in the HRV was at 3°C, after heat recovery it's at 13°C (that would have been the temperature of the air being blown through my house) then after going through the solar panel it's at 43°C.
