hello everyone, i have a suggestion ;.
I think that this system is based on heat absorption, black painted bottom surface.
firstly I think it is necessary to mix silisium
-sand into this paint.(maybe 1 sand-3 balck paint mixed on volume)
because silisium sand is the most valuable mineral in the country, which increases energy absorption.
I will share the results of this week with 1 double layer project this week.
In addition, silicium sand is the main raw material for solar panels.
other material :grafitti...Grafitti is black pen material..
we suggesiton 1 kg paint black (matte must) + 0.3 kg silicum sand+0.2 kg carbon black...Thats al..

I'm curious what you find out. An empty collector with just a black back is not very effective compared to the same collector with a double screen in it.

If the silisium helps, it would be easy to add.

I'm not sure how much better this mixture would perform against plain matte black paint or a selective coating. Only way to know would be to be test. One thing is for sure with this mixture, you couldn't give your screen a light coating to cut down on reflections. It would have to be rolled or brushed on to any surface.

Black in our current collector boxes is not so much for heat absorption, but to keep the sun's rays from reflecting out of the collector box.

hello, double layer screen will be added ok.I suggesiton ;In addition to the painted surface of the black painted with a mixture of silisium material  : sand + paint mixing and apliyin...Because sand and paint absorbing heat will increase.

On Russian forum, people report very successful results using coat of heavily diluted lacquer and toner powder (from laser printer) applied over. After that, leave it in the sun for a few days to cure and blow off leftovers from powder.

AndrisV-

I have no doubt various mixtures using paint, sand, lacquer, toner, etc. would work. It's a matter of it being enough of an improvement over store bought paint. Has anyone tested these mixtures against store bought matte black paint? Even different brands of paint have measurable differences in performance.

Do you have a link to the Russian forum? And could you give them the link to our site? I'd would be great to share ideas with them. People in different parts of the world think differently, so it is very likely new ideas could be exchanged.

I started to work for the trial today. Instead of black paint on the bottom of 40 sand sandpaper is covered .. Black surface and sand together .. [smile]
I explain finally results..Best regards..

The sand should help as it increases surface area and turbulence.  Tests with hardware cloth on the back showed a definite gain.
